disney countdown

we wanted a way to get the kids excited about going and to make it easier for them to understand when we are going.

jilliann has no concept of time and thinks that we are going to mickey mouse's house next weekend.
in order to make it easier for them, we made a paper chain. Julie had the great idea about it and made one for kaitlin too.

all you do is take paper strips ( i used 3 different Disney 12 x 12 cardstocks and cut them into 1 inch wide strips)
make a circle and staple!
then connect other circles until you are done!


we didn't realize how long it was going to be, so the banister has a new decoration!
each night we get to tear one off... the kids are excited about it, but man that is still a long time to go!

76 days to be exact!

Broccoli.... Gross

kasey was forced to try a bite of his broccoli because he still won't eat very much.
we have at least upgraded to noodles and ham steak (that was the rest of his dinner that night!)

i know! it took us a year, but we decided on a color and went for it!

BIG NEWS!

WE ARE GOING TOO...

we are going in October! It will be a birthday celebration (Tommy) and a first time visit for everyone except for me!

We are super excited!!

And of course I have to start doing Disney related crafts and extras for our trip!

Painting

We painted a pattern with glue on a pillow cases and then the kids painted them.
i have to wash the glue off and then i will show you the finished project!
